[Pre-Order] My Body is a Mountain | Art Print
This whole project got me thinking of queer bodies, physicality, and the metaphors hidden in the landscape.
A giant becoming a mountain is such a powerful image. A person transformed into a mountain stands majestically at the heart of a lush landscape, embodying a sense of permanence and belonging. Their flesh blends seamlessly with the rock, moss, funghi, the whole ecosystem in a perfect harmony. A tiny wooden cabin stands at the top of the cliff, bathing in the spots of warm sunlight, protected.
I also framed this image with an ornate border adorned with folk ornaments.
This piece is a companion to my zine The Girl of Rock and Moss, chipping into the dialogue between the natural world and the essence of home. Both the zine and this piece were created for the project “Queering Wales, Connecting People” hosted by On Your Face Collective.
